Job Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our product development team, focused on building enterprise-grade solutions in the financial services and remittance domain. You will play a critical role across the entire lifecycle from defining functional tests and acceptance criteria during product design, to executing manual and automated tests on web and mobile applications. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, business analysts, and DevOps to ensure a seamless, secure, and reliable product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in product design discussions to define functional tests, acceptance criteria, and testability of requirements.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Develop and execute automation scripts using Playwright (Web) and Appium (Mobile).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across microservices, APIs, and UI layers.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases in an Agile environment.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug tracking tools.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing when issues are resolved.
  • Support and contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
  • Validate system performance and reliability under load in collaboration with DevOps.
  • Continuously research new tools, frameworks, and practices for improving testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and support root cause analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in software QA and testing (manual and automation).
  • Strong experience in End-to-End (E2E) Testing with Playwright (Web automation) and Appium (Mobile automation).
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/Typescript, SQL for automation and test scripting.
  • Solid understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC), QA methodologies, and Agile practices.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or similar).
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work independently when required.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to security testing, vulnerability assessment and chaos testing (e.g., OWASP, penetration testing tools, chaos monkey).
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven QA practices in financial services, remittance, or payments domain.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD automation for quality gates, and test observability.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerized testing in Kubernetes/Docker.
